Kait and Graham’s relaxed DIY boho Nova Scotia wedding was every bit chilled and relaxing as it was boho! While the bride and groom (…and mostly the bride) put in a heaping mountain of effort into plannig, envisioning and coordinating their wedding, we’d remiss to ignore family and friends who come alongside and do their bit! For instance, the ceremony location. The healthy grass and vibrant flowers didn’t just come to be on their own…Graham’s dad toiled hard and diligently to make their backyard perfect for Kait and Graham’s special relaxed DIY boho wedding day.
When planning and envisioning your wedding day, brides and grooms sometimes have to make changes because they can’t find everything they’re looking for. Other times, well, things simply fall into place! With a prefect dress, vibrant bridesmaid dresses, darling shoes and down-right-gorgeous flower crown, what could make the details of Kait and Graham’s relaxed DIY boho wedding day more perfect than it already was?…A bright and cheery VW camper van of course! Not everyone owns a very well-maintained and running VW camper van, but a neighbour did and they very generously let Kait and Graham use it on their very wedding day. How wonderful was that!
When we scoped out the area for their portrait session, we found the perfect field with beautiful tall brown grass. To get to the spot, we had to climb down a slightly steep and bushy ditch, but these two with their super fab posse of friends didn’t flinch an inch. Their group shot speaks loud volumes of the openness of their friendship. It made our work a breeze! The reality is, Kait and Graham’s easy-going-ness just made the day feel so easy, relaxed and fun. They set the tone and everybody had a blast..boho inside and out! Enjoy the pics!
The creative hands behind Kait and Graham’s beautiful DIY Boho wedding day. We haven’t always done this and are trying to get better at it!
